Let’s be honest: planning a marriage proposal is already a high-adrenaline mission. If you decide to do it halfway across the world, in a country where you might not speak the language fluently, it quickly turns into a real-life action movie!

And that’s exactly where I come in. Not just as your photographer, but as your official co-conspirator, human GPS, and, when needed, designated calm-keeper. 😎

Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of helping a wonderful American couple, Anthony and Nathalie, capture their dream surprise proposal in Veneto, set against one of the greenest and most romantic backdrops in the region: Parco Querini in Vicenza.

Here is how it all went down (spoiler: Nathalie said YES! ). 😍

The plan was simple yet carefully crafted. Our meeting point was the elegant monopteros temple inside Parco Querini—a classic spot surrounded by water and... friendly local bunnies acting as uninvited (but cute) witnesses!

While Anthony and Nathalie walked around pretending everything was completely casual—though I'm pretty sure Anthony's heart was beating loud enough to be heard meters away—I was positioned discreetly at a distance, camera ready and blending into the landscape.

Then came the magic moment:

Capturing raw, unfiltered emotion is hands-down my favorite part of being a marriage proposal photographer in Italy. Nathalie's tears of joy, Anthony's breathless laugh, and that endless hug are now preserved not just in their memories, but in images that will last a lifetime.

A Stroll Through Vicenza’s Historic Center

Once the initial adrenaline rush settled down (and after a quick virtual toast!), we continued our engagement session with Anthony and Nathalie toward the historic heart of Vicenza.

Wandering through Palladian architecture, charming cobblestone alleys, and cozy cafes allowed us to capture candid, relaxed, lifestyle-style portraits. When the proposal nerves fade away, smiles become effortless, and true connection shines through. Vicenza, with its intimate elegance and relaxed atmosphere compared to busier tourist hubs, proved to be the ultimate setting for Anthony and Nathalie's authentic Italian love story.
